Nuvi 1100 shuts off without warning at low battery
The Nuvi 1100's battery indicator relies on voltage-to-capacity mapping calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A degraded or mismatched cell can show two bars on the indicator right up to the point the voltage collapses below the device's cutoff threshold, then the unit dies instantly with no warning. This is a calibration mismatch, not a device fault. After fitting this replacement, run two full charge-discharge cycles under navigation use — the device will re-map the indicator to the new cell's curve and low-battery warnings will appear at the correct point.
