GEZE TSA350 / TSA360 Series — 14.4V Ni-CD Replacement Battery (TO1010)
This 14.4V 800mAh Ni-CD battery replaces the backup power unit in GEZE TSA350, TSA360, and SL FR OK automatic door operators. It keeps the electronic control system live during mains failure so the door can complete a full open or close cycle safely. OEM part numbers TO1010 and 073437 both cross to this unit.
- TSA350, TSA360, and SL FR OK compatibility: These three platforms share the same 14.4V backup battery rail and connector pinout. The BMS handshake on all three models reads cell voltage in the same sequence, so the same replacement cell string satisfies the controller's charge-check routine without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through a simulated mains-loss event on a TSA350 control board. The BMS accepted the pack, charged to full cell voltage, and the door relay activated correctly on backup power with no fault codes logged.
- Power-fail commissioning test: After installing the backup battery, manually trigger a power-fail test during a low-traffic period. Automatic door backup batteries must be tested at installation to confirm they can complete a full door cycle under motor load — do not assume a charged pack is sufficient without a live-cycle test.
Automatic door not completing full open cycle on battery backup
The TSA350 motor draws a sharp current spike at the start of each open cycle. If the backup battery is not at full charge, cell voltage sags below the controller's minimum threshold during that inrush and the door stalls mid-travel. Ni-CD cells take longer to reach a stable full charge than Li-ion — allow a minimum 24-hour charge on a freshly installed pack before testing. After a full charge, cell voltage at rest should read at or above 14.4V before you run a cycle test.
Door controller losing saved settings after a mains outage
The TSA350 stores door speed, hold-open timing, and sensor sensitivity in volatile RAM that depends on the backup battery to retain its state during a power cut. A depleted or failed battery means that RAM loses power within seconds of mains loss, and the controller resets to factory defaults when power returns. If settings are disappearing after outages, measure the battery's resting voltage — a pack that reads below 12V under no load has lost enough capacity to fail this duty. Replace the pack and re-enter all door parameters from the commissioning sheet before the next outage.
