This is a 3100mAh Li-Polymer cell at 3.85V nominal, built to replace the original BL-N3130 in the GIONEE S6 Pro, Elife S6 Pro, Elife S6 Pro Dual SIM TD-LTE IN, and GN9012. It restores full operating capacity to a phone that's shutting down early, charging slowly, or holding a fraction of its original charge. Voltage, dimensions, and connector position match the OEM spec at 83.30 x 62.70 x 3.40 mm.
- S6 Pro and GN9012 compatibility: These models share the same BL-N3130 footprint, voltage rail, and BMS handshake protocol, so one cell covers the full range without adapter or wiring changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a GN9012 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without lockout, balancing kicked in correctly on the first full charge, and the protection circuit triggered at the expected cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the S6 Pro after a cell swap
The S6 Pro's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old degraded cell. When the new cell's voltage drops sharply under modem or display load, the phone interprets that voltage cliff as an immediate low-battery condition and cuts power. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. It is the coulomb counter reacting to a mismatch between its stored data and the new cell's actual behaviour. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the reference curve.
USB fast charge not triggering on the first cycle after replacement
On the first cycle, the charge IC on the S6 Pro may default to standard 5V input rather than negotiating the higher voltage fast-charge protocol with an uncalibrated cell. This is a conservative BMS behaviour — it limits inbound current until the cell's internal resistance profile is established. Charge once at standard rate using the OEM cable. Fast charging typically re-engages automatically from the second cycle onward once the BMS has logged a baseline charge event.
