GN Netcom 9330 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (1S1P051730PCM)
This is a 3.7V, 180mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the GN Netcom 9330 and GN9330 wireless DECT headsets. It replaces OEM part number 1S1P051730PCM. The cell fits the original housing and connects to the same charging circuit used by the base station.
- Netcom 9330 and GN9330 compatibility: Both model variants run the same 3.7V power rail, use the same compact Li-Polymer cell format, and share the same BMS handshake with the charging base. One cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on the GN9330 base station. The BMS completed handshake correctly on each cycle, and the protection circuit responded as expected to charge termination signals from the base.
- Base station first-cycle logging: On first use, place the headset in the base and let it complete a full charge cycle before making any calls. The base needs to complete this cycle to log the new cell and calibrate the talk-time indicator accurately.
Why the GN9330 cuts out mid-call despite a charged indicator
The GN9330 draws current from two loads at once — the audio codec and the DECT radio transmitter. Under that combined draw, a degraded or freshly installed cell can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the indicator reads full. The BMS reads resting voltage when the headset is docked, which looks healthy. Load voltage under active transmission is lower and triggers the cutoff. After installing a new cell, run two to three full charge-discharge cycles through the base station before judging talk-time performance.
Base station shows charging error after fitting a new cell
This happens when the BMS in the new cell has not yet completed its initialisation handshake with the base charging circuit. The base sends a low-current probe signal first — if the cell arrives at storage voltage, the base may flag a fault before full charge current begins. Seat the headset firmly in the cradle and leave it undisturbed for 15 minutes. If the error clears, the handshake completed. If not, remove the headset, wait 30 seconds, and re-dock — the base will retry the probe from 0V reference.
