This is a 14.4V 3000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Gorenje SVC144XX cordless stick vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part number 861788 when the original cell has degraded or stopped holding charge. The battery restores full motor voltage to the cleaning head and floor brush.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor is working harder than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll has a restriction. Increased motor draw pulls the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit expects, so suction weakens while the LED still shows adequate charge. The BMS reads real cell voltage, not the indicator's calibrated curve. Clean the filter and check the brush roll before replacing the battery — if suction recovers immediately after cleaning, the cell is not the fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then restarts after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or a clogged filter, current draw spikes past the BMS threshold and the circuit opens to protect the cell. The pack cools briefly, the BMS resets, and the motor restarts. Clear any blockage and check that the filter is seated correctly — a poorly seated filter creates turbulence that amplifies draw. If trips continue on an unobstructed machine, measure resting cell voltage: anything below 14.0V on a recently charged pack points to a degraded cell that can no longer deliver rated current.
