This happens when the camera reads the cell's resting voltage immediately after a discharge event and interprets it as critically low before the cell has recovered. Li-ion cells at 850mAh capacity show a temporary voltage dip under load that can touch the camera's low-battery threshold. Remove the battery, wait 60 seconds, and reinsert — resting voltage typically recovers to above 3.5V and the camera resumes normal operation. If the icon persists after recovery time, put the cell on charge until it reaches a full 4.2V before shooting again.
