GRE Electric Super Vac VCB10P — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P1121-ZJ8)
This 7.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the OEM P1121-ZJ8 pack in the GRE Electric Super Vac VCB10P cordless vacuum. It fits the handheld unit used on floors, carpets, and upholstery. Swap it when the original pack no longer holds enough charge to complete a cleaning pass.
- VCB10P battery fit: The Super Vac VCB10P runs a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion pack with a BMS that monitors cell voltage balance and current draw from the suction motor. This replacement matches that cell configuration, connector, and BMS communication — the vacuum charges and reports charge status normally after the swap.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated charge and discharge runs on the VCB10P platform. The BMS held consistent cutoff at low-cell threshold and did not trip on normal motor start current.
- Dock charging on the VCB10P: Do not leave the VCB10P sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge degrades Li-ion cell capacity significantly faster than charge-then-remove cycles. Charge to full, pull it from the dock, and return it only when depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the VCB10P
This happens when the motor is working harder than rated — usually because of a partially blocked filter or a restricted inlet. Under sustained high draw, the BMS sees elevated current and the cells sag in voltage before they are genuinely depleted. The vacuum reads as charged, but suction falls off. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers, the battery was not the fault — it was compensating for a restricted motor load.
VCB10P motor cuts out mid-use then comes back after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the suction path is blocked or the filter is clogged, the motor stalls slightly and draws current above the BMS threshold. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets after the cell voltage recovers — usually within 30 to 60 seconds. Clear the blockage, check the filter, and restart. If it still trips on an unobstructed machine, check that the pack voltage reads at or above 7.2V before use.
