This is a 6V 700mAh Ni-MH battery for the HBC Tele Teach TTB 05 industrial crane remote control. It replaces OEM part numbers BATT/114046-O, BT205030, and BT225030. The battery slots into the TTB 05 transmitter housing and restores full remote operation for overhead crane and hoist systems.
- TTB 05 transmitter compatibility: The TTB 05 platform draws a stable low current during standby but spikes sharply when activating relays or solenoids. This cell's 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry handles those brief inrush events without the voltage sag that causes mid-operation dropouts.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through repeated solenoid-activation sequences on TTB 05 hardware. The BMS held cutoff thresholds correctly and voltage recovery after load events was consistent across the test run.
- Idle-period charge maintenance for crane remotes: If the TTB 05 sits unused for weeks between lifting jobs, connect the battery to its charger once a month. Ni-MH cells self-discharge faster than Li-ion — a fully drained cell left sitting can drop below the recovery threshold of the onboard charge circuit.
Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a freshly installed battery
When you first install a replacement Ni-MH cell, its resting voltage is typically around 5.4–5.6V — storage voltage, not full charge. The TTB 05 relay circuit pulls a short inrush current when a function button activates a solenoid. At storage voltage, that inrush can pull the cell voltage below the transmitter's brown-out threshold, causing the remote to cut out. Charge the battery fully before first use — full charge brings the pack to approximately 7.2V open-circuit on a 6V Ni-MH — and the dropout stops.

A new replacement cell ships at storage voltage, not full charge. The TTB 05 reads this as low battery because the transmitter checks voltage on startup and compares it to its internal threshold. This is not a fault with the battery or the remote. Connect the pack to the HBC charger and run a full charge cycle — once the cell reaches rated voltage, the low-battery indicator clears and normal operation resumes.
