This is a 3.89V, 5900mAh Li-Polymer cell matching OEM part HB4966A2EGW. It fits the Honor X7B across regional variants including CLK-LX1, CLK-LX2, and CLK-LX3. It replaces a degraded original cell that no longer holds charge through a full day of use.
- CLK-LX1, CLK-LX2, CLK-LX3 compatibility: These regional variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The voltage rail and NTC thermistor line are identical across the CLK series, so one cell fits all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a CLK-LX1 unit and monitored BMS communication through charge and discharge. The protection circuit responded correctly to cutoff at 4.35V charge termination and 3.0V discharge floor, with no spurious disconnects under screen-on load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load before the reported percentage reaches zero. The phone interprets the voltage drop as an immediate low-voltage event and shuts down to protect the circuit. Run one full discharge to below 5% and a full charge to 100% without interruption — this recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual capacity curve.
USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after installation
After a cell swap, the charge IC may default to trickle charge on the first connection while it verifies the new cell's impedance and temperature response. The phone will show a charging icon but the wattage will stay low and the device may feel like it is barely charging. This is a one-cycle BMS initialisation behaviour, not a fault with the cell or charger. Let it complete one full slow charge from under 20% to 100%, and fast charging will activate on the next plug-in.
