This 18V Li-ion battery replaces part numbers BH50000 and 302723001 in the Hoover Platinum Collection LINX and Platinum Stick cordless vacuum range. It fits the BH50015 handheld and BH50010 stick vacuum. Capacity is 3000mAh (54Wh), matching original pack specifications.

- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full discharge cycles on the BH50015. The BMS held stable voltage delivery across sustained suction loads and tripped correctly on overcurrent without locking out the charger circuit.
- Dock charging habit on the LINX platform: The LINX charger does not cut power once the pack reaches full charge. Remove the battery from the dock when the indicator shows full — leaving it seated on continuous trickle voltage accelerates capacity fade faster than normal cycle wear on this platform.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder. The BMS reads elevated current draw as a near-depleted state and begins throttling voltage to the motor before the indicator registers low. Clean the filter first. If suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the fault. A genuinely degraded pack will show the same symptom even with a clean filter and will sit below 17V under load.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It fires when airflow restriction causes the motor to spike current beyond the pack's threshold — the BMS disconnects the cell, the motor stops, and the circuit resets once current normalises. It will repeat on every run until the blockage is cleared. Check the filter and the inlet path for obstruction. If the cutout continues on a clean, unblocked vacuum, measure resting voltage — a pack sitting below 16V at rest needs replacement.
