Under combined CPU and display load, voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge tracks it, triggering an emergency shutdown. Run two to three full discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles to let the IC rebuild its discharge model against the new cell. After calibration, the shutdown point drops back to the correct low-voltage threshold near 3.0V per cell.
