This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell for the HP iPAQ RZ1700, RZ1710, RZ1715, and RZ1717 handheld PDAs. It replaces OEM part numbers 367194-001, 365748-001, and 365748-005. The battery powers the processor, touchscreen, and active applications on these mid-2000s pocket computers.
- RZ1700 series fit: All four models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V voltage rail. The BMS handshake is identical across the RZ1710, RZ1715, and RZ1717 variants, so one cell covers the full lineup without modification.

Why the iPAQ RZ1700 won't boot after a new battery is fitted
The RZ1700's boot ROM checks for a minimum supply voltage before it initialises the OS. A fresh replacement cell ships with a partial charge — sometimes below that threshold. If the unit shows nothing on screen after fitting the new battery, connect it to the AC adapter for 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button. Do not attempt multiple resets on a low cell; the flash storage controller needs stable voltage during its initialisation pass.
iPAQ RZ1700 losing contacts, calendar, or app data after battery replacement
The RZ1700 does not have internal flash storage for user data — contacts, calendar entries, and installed applications live in battery-backed SRAM. When battery power drops to zero during a swap, that memory clears completely. A hard reset or a swap without prior sync produces the same result: a blank device. To recover, restore from your last ActiveSync backup. Going forward, sync before every battery removal — not just when the battery is dead.
