The Omen 15-DH stores historical charge data in the embedded controller's EEPROM. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration mismatch. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the baseline. Under full CPU and GPU load, the Omen 15-DH draws peak current that causes cell voltage to sag sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the OS fuel gauge still shows 20–30% remaining. The fuel gauge IC reads state-of-charge under low-load conditions and does not account for this voltage cliff under gaming load. The fix is to run two to three full calibration cycles so the fuel gauge IC maps the real voltage curve of the new cell under load. After calibration, the gauge will begin issuing shutdown warnings earlier and the abrupt cutoff will stop.
