Why the dv9000 BIOS reports poor health immediately after a battery swap
The dv9000's BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers stored on the battery's BMS board, not from live cell measurements. The result is a "poor health" or "0% available" warning even when the new cell is fully charged and functioning correctly. Running one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the learned values and clears the warning.
