Why the ZBook Power G7 BIOS flags a new battery as poor health

HP's BIOS reads battery health data from EEPROM registers embedded in the cell's BMS. The ZBook Power G7 uses a fuel gauge IC that estimates state-of-charge by tracking voltage curves from the old cell.
