This is a 3.85V, 3300mAh Li-Polymer cell built to the HB386483ECW+ specification. It fits the Huawei G9 Plus, Maimang 5, Maimang 5 Dual SIM TD-LTE, MLA-AL10, and over 30 additional variants sharing the same battery bay and connector. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer sustain voltage under screen or modem load.

- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a G9 Plus unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the expected low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: On first use, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the G9 Plus after a cell swap
A new cell has a discharge curve the phone's coulomb counter has never seen. When the G9 Plus runs a modem handoff or wakes the display at full brightness, current draw spikes briefly. If the fuel gauge IC still thinks the old cell is installed, it misreads remaining capacity and the protection circuit pulls the plug before the cell is actually empty. This is not a defective cell — it is a calibration mismatch. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates and the premature shutdowns stop.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
Huawei's proprietary fast charge protocol requires the charge IC to verify cell parameters before stepping up current. On a freshly installed cell, the IC defaults to standard 5V/1A until it logs a completed charge cycle and confirms the cell is within expected impedance range. Plugging into a fast charger on day one often shows no fast-charge indicator — this is intentional. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first. After that cycle, the fast-charge handshake activates normally and the higher current rate engages.
