Huawei Honor View 30 Pro Replacement Battery - Replaces HB446589ECW

$24.41In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Huawei Honor View 30 Pro and View 30 Pro 5G; replaces OEM part HB446589ECW battery.
  • 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity to aged devices losing runtime.
  • Connector seats flush into the battery slot with no mechanical locking tab required.
  • We ran full discharge cycles on a View 30 Pro test unit; BMS accepted charge within normal parameters.
  • On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to recalibrate the fuel gauge IC against the new cell curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated pack.

About this replacement

Huawei Honor View 30 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB446589ECW)

This 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original HB446589ECW battery in the Huawei Honor View 30 Pro and Honor View 30 Pro 5G (OXF-N29, OXF-AL10). It fits the same footprint at 86.90 × 63.85 × 4.18mm and connects to the same charge IC and fuel gauge circuit. Capacity matches OEM specification at 15.4Wh.

  • View 30 Pro and 5G variant fitment: Both the standard and 5G variants of the Honor View 30 Pro share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all listed model numbers including OXF-N29 and OXF-AL10.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a View 30 Pro unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, the charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases correctly, and the fuel gauge held a stable state-of-charge reading across the full discharge curve.
  • First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable Huawei SuperCharge for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes amperage into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Honor View 30 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the View 30 Pro uses a stored discharge curve from the original cell to estimate state of charge. After a cell replacement, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity profile. The result is percentage readings that lag reality — often showing higher than actual charge until the IC recalibrates. One full discharge to auto-off followed by a complete charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter and brings the gauge back in line.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from a degraded original cell that had a steep voltage cliff near end-of-charge. The new cell has a different voltage floor, but the system cuts power based on the old threshold map. Under modem load or screen-on draw, the device hits the programmed cutoff voltage before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge-charge cycle with SuperCharge disabled — the IC relearns the cutoff point against the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.
