This 18V Li-ion battery replaces part number 529 60 68-01 and fits the Husqvarna Automower 430XH, 450X, 450XH, 520, and over 38 additional Automower models from the 2019 lineup. Capacity is 8000mAh (144Wh), matching the original cell specification. It restores autonomous mowing operation when original cells have degraded below usable capacity.

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly in storage. After several months, a pack can fall below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 12V for an 18V pack. The charger reads this as a fault or simply refuses to initiate a charge cycle. If the original battery dropped that low, it may not recover. This replacement arrives with a partial charge; connect it to the dock and allow a full charge cycle before returning the mower to its schedule.
Mower cuts out mid-row, pauses, then resumes on its own
This is thermal protection activating — not a faulty battery. When the blade motor works through thick or wet grass, current draw spikes and pack temperature rises faster than in normal conditions. The BMS shuts output to protect the cells, then resets once temperature drops. Let the mower sit for five minutes before restarting. If it happens repeatedly in the same zone, check blade sharpness — worn blades draw significantly more current for the same cutting area.
