Infinuvo Cleanmate S300 / S400 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NSAA-12)
This is a 14.4V, 800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Infinuvo Cleanmate S300 and Cleanmate S400 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part NSAA-12 and slots into the same battery bay without modification. Capacity figures are taken directly from the product specification — 800mAh, 11.52Wh.
- S300 and S400 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V battery bay and use identical connector pinouts and BMS handshake logic. The shared NSAA-12 part number confirms Infinuvo used the same power architecture across both units — no adapter or wiring change needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the S300 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, voltage held steady under motor load, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold before the motor stalled.
- Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH: Do not leave the Cleanmate sitting on the charging dock indefinitely. Ni-MH cells are more vulnerable to trickle-charge damage than Li-ion. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and return it only when the battery is depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the S300
The S300 motor draws more current when the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is restricted. Under that extra load, a degraded Ni-MH cell cannot hold its voltage rail, and the motor slows before the battery indicator registers low. The battery is not necessarily flat — it is sagging under load. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap first. If suction recovers after cleaning, the issue is airflow restriction, not the cell itself.
Motor cuts out mid-cycle then restarts after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the S300 hits a sustained blockage — dense carpet pile, a stuck brush roll, or a clogged filter — current draw spikes beyond the cell's protection threshold. The BMS shuts the output to protect the cell, then resets once temperature and current drop. This is not a faulty battery. Clear the blockage, remove debris from the brush chamber, and verify the filter is clean. If the trip keeps happening on clear floors, check whether the roller motor itself is binding.
