The Move 5000 runs a PCI security boot check that includes a battery handshake. On a freshly installed cell, the BMS hasn't yet confirmed a full charge-discharge cycle to the terminal's charge IC. The terminal can stall or loop at the boot screen until that handshake completes. Charge the battery to 100% in the terminal before powering it on for the first time — this primes the BMS and clears the boot loop.
Battery percentage stuck at 99% and not moving on first charge
New Li-ion cells often arrive at a partial state of charge, and the Move 5000's charge IC enters a top-off mode when it detects a cell already near full voltage. The indicator stays pinned at 99% while the IC trickle-charges the final milliamp-hours — this is normal behaviour, not a fault. Leave the terminal on charge until the indicator advances to 100% and the charging LED changes state. That confirms the charge IC has exited top-off mode and the battery is fully conditioned.
