About this replacement
Ingenico Vital Act 3S — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTY00009)
This is a 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Ingenico Vital Act 3S and LEC-V03.00-0242 portable payment terminals. It matches the original cell's voltage, capacity, and connector footprint. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a standard transaction shift.
- Vital Act 3S and LEC-V03.00-0242 compatibility: Both terminals share the same battery bay, BMS handshake protocol, and 3.7V single-cell architecture — one battery fits both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Vital Act 3S unit. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault flags, and the charge IC completed the top-off phase correctly before reporting full charge.
- First transaction cycle before live deployment: The Vital Act 3S maps battery capacity during normal operation. Complete at least one full power cycle and one transaction after installation — this allows the terminal's charge indicator to calibrate correctly and prevents false low-battery warnings mid-shift.
Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap
The Vital Act 3S draws a simultaneous current spike from the display backlight, wireless module, and receipt printer motor when processing a transaction. On a new cell that hasn't completed a conditioning cycle, the BMS can interpret this combined draw as an overcurrent event and trip the protection circuit. This cuts power to the terminal mid-sale. Run the terminal through one full charge cycle and at least one complete transaction before using it in a live environment — this allows the BMS to characterise the load profile and stop tripping on normal peaks.
Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. If the Vital Act 3S sat unused for several months, the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V — and the BMS will block power-on to protect the cell. Connect the terminal to the charging cradle and leave it for at least 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button. If the charge LED does not respond, remove the battery, reinsert it firmly to reset the BMS, then reconnect to charge.
