Intermec 600 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L103450-1INS)
This 3.7V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the factory pack in the Intermec 600, 601, 602, and 603 barcode scanners. These handheld scanners are common in warehouse pick-and-pack, retail stockrooms, and logistics operations. Swap this pack in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a shift.

- First-shift preparation: After installing, seat the scanner in its charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before starting a pick run. Scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum — a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips during the first heavy scan burst of the day.

Charging docks on the 600 series read contact resistance as part of the charge handshake. If the dock contacts or the battery terminals have any oxide buildup or residue, the dock flags an error rather than starting the charge cycle. Wipe the four gold contacts on the battery face and the matching pins in the cradle with a dry cloth. Reseat the scanner firmly — the charge indicator should switch from error to active within a few seconds.

The 600 series fires the scan engine and the wireless radio simultaneously during a fast barcode capture sequence. That combined inrush pulls the cell voltage down briefly, and if the pack is weak or partially discharged, the voltage sag crosses the BMS cutoff threshold and the radio drops. The scanner may re-associate automatically, but the connection loss interrupts the data transmission mid-burst. Keep the pack above half charge during high-frequency scanning runs and confirm the resting cell voltage is at or above 3.6V before a full shift.
