This 11.1V 4150mAh (46.07Wh) Li-ion battery fits the iRay Mars1417V thermal imaging camera and its variants, including the Mars1417V Flat Panel Detector and Mars1417V-TSI. It is a direct cell replacement for clinical thermography workflows where the primary battery depletes during extended imaging sessions. All models in the Mars1417V line share the same voltage rail and connector, so one battery covers the full platform.

Mars1417V not completing boot sequence on a new battery

The Mars1417V runs a staged boot that includes a BMS handshake before the imaging subsystem initialises. A new cell that has not completed its first full charge-discharge cycle may report a state-of-charge value the device's charge IC treats as out-of-range, stalling the boot at the self-test screen. This is a calibration gap between the new cell's default SoC register and the device's OEM threshold — not a fault with the battery itself. Run one complete charge cycle to 100% before placing the unit into clinical rotation.

Charge indicator stuck below 100% on the first charge

On the first charge, the Mars1417V's charge IC applies a conservative current ceiling to an uncharacterised cell, which extends the absorption phase and can leave the indicator sitting at 95–98% for longer than expected. This is the charge controller protecting the cell — not a faulty battery or a faulty charger. Do not disconnect and reconnect the charger repeatedly; that resets the absorption timer and extends the total charge time further. Leave the device on charge until the indicator clears to 100% naturally, then run one full discharge before the next charge.
