This 3.7V 1000mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the IZZO Swami 4000 and Swami 4000 Golf GPS handheld navigator. It restores power to the unit so golfers can continue using course mapping, distance-to-green, and hazard yardage functions without replacing the whole device. Voltage and capacity match the OEM spec exactly — 3.7V, 1000mAh (3.7Wh).

GPS accuracy reduced at low battery on the Swami 4000
When cell voltage drops toward the 3.0V cutoff threshold, some GPS units throttle receiver sensitivity to reduce current draw. On the Swami 4000, this can show up as yardage readings that jump or fail to update smoothly on the green. The fix is not recalibration — it is simply that the battery no longer holds enough charge to sustain full receiver power. A fresh cell at full voltage restores consistent position accuracy.
Swami 4000 shuts off without a low-battery warning
The on-screen battery indicator on the Swami 4000 is calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. An aged cell drops voltage more steeply in its final 20% of capacity, so the device hits the hardware cutoff voltage before the software warning triggers visually. This is a calibration mismatch between old cell behaviour and the firmware threshold — not a fault with the unit. Fitting a new cell at full capacity re-aligns the discharge curve so the warning appears at the correct point. Check that the cell reads at least 4.1V off the charger before your round.
