Jabra Pro 900 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB5-2229PS)
This 3.7V, 250mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the OEM pack in the Jabra Pro 900, Pro 920, Pro 923, and Pro 930 DECT wireless headsets. It matches the original cell dimensions at 31.50 × 20.00 × 5.00mm and connects directly to the existing BMS board. Fit the replacement when the headset no longer holds a charge through a standard call shift.
- Pro 900 series compatibility: The Pro 920, 923, and 930 share the same compact headset housing and BMS connector as the base Pro 900. All variants draw from the same 3.7V rail under combined DECT radio and audio load, so one cell covers the full lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated DECT radio-active sessions on the Pro 900 platform. The BMS completed handshake with the base station on first dock and held the voltage curve within spec across the load profile of sustained audio plus radio transmission.
- First charge after fitting: Seat the headset in the base station and let it complete one full uninterrupted charge cycle before taking a call. The base station needs to log the new cell's charge state before its talk-time estimate will read accurately.

The Pro 900 base runs a BMS handshake when a headset is docked. If the cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — the base may flag a charge fault or show a solid amber indicator rather than cycling through its normal charge sequence. Remove the headset, leave it docked for 30 seconds, then re-seat it. This resets the handshake and allows the base to begin a fresh charge cycle from the correct starting voltage.

The Pro 900 combines DECT radio transmission and audio driver load simultaneously. Under that combined draw, a cell that has not yet completed its first full conditioning cycle can dip below the BMS cutoff threshold and shut the headset off. This is not a fault — it resolves over three to five complete charge-discharge cycles as the cell reaches its rated 250mAh capacity. If cutouts continue after five cycles, check that the charge contacts on the base are clean and making firm contact.
