This 3.7V, 700mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the GSP862633 battery inside the JBL Tune 710 BT wireless headphones. It fits the over-ear Bluetooth headset directly, restoring charging capacity when the original cell has degraded. Capacity is 700mAh (2.59Wh) as specified by the OEM.
- Tune 710 BT fit: The Tune 710 BT uses a fixed internal Li-Polymer cell on a compact PCM board. This replacement matches the 3.7V nominal voltage rail and the 32.80 × 25.70 × 7.70mm footprint, so the cell seats correctly without stressing the flex connector.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Tune 710 BT platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, reached full charge voltage cleanly, and held the audio plus Bluetooth radio draw without tripping the low-voltage cutoff prematurely.
- First charge on the Tune 710 BT: After fitting the new cell, run a complete charge cycle via the USB-C port before using the headphones. The onboard BMS needs that first full cycle to calibrate the charge indicator — skipping it can cause the battery icon to read inaccurately for several sessions.
Talk time shorter than rated on the first few cycles
A fresh Li-Polymer cell does not deliver its full rated capacity on cycle one. The electrolyte needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the cell reaches its rated 700mAh output. On the Tune 710 BT, this shows up as the headphones switching off sooner than expected in the first week of use. Run several complete cycles — charge to 100%, use until the low-battery warning sounds, then recharge fully — and capacity will stabilise at the rated figure.
Headset cuts out mid-call on a new battery
The Tune 710 BT draws simultaneously from the audio amplifier and the Bluetooth radio during a call. If the replacement cell is at storage voltage rather than a full charge, that combined draw can pull the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold mid-transmission, killing audio abruptly. This is not a faulty cell — it is the BMS protecting an under-charged pack. Charge the headset fully to 4.2V before the first call and the cutout will not recur.
