This is a 14.4V Li-ion battery pack rated at 2000mAh (28.8Wh), built to the T-DC53B specification. It fits the Jimmy SF301, W7, and W8 cordless stick vacuums. Voltage and BMS profile match the original pack so the charger and vacuum recognise the cell correctly.
- SF301, W7, and W8 platform: These three vacuums share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers all three models without any adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a Jimmy-compatible charger. The BMS held cell balance across the full charge window and triggered overcurrent protection correctly under sustained load.
- Dock charging on Jimmy stick vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously. Jimmy cordless vacuums on permanent dock charge develop capacity fade faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS allows under load — not because the cell is empty, but because voltage sags below the motor's operating threshold. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pushing draw past the BMS current limit. The BMS reads this as an overload condition and reduces output to protect the cells. Clean the filter first, then test under the same carpet load — suction should hold steady through the full charge cycle.
Battery fade after months of leaving the vacuum on the dock
Li-ion cells held at 100% charge under trickle current degrade faster than cells cycled between charge and use. Jimmy's charging dock keeps the pack topped up continuously, which stresses the cells at high state-of-charge for extended periods. Capacity loss from this pattern is permanent — the affected cells cannot be reconditioned. Going forward, charge the pack fully and remove the vacuum from the dock; store it off-charge when not in active use.
