Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The CVH 2 motor draws more current when the filter is partially blocked, because it works harder to pull airflow through restricted mesh. That extra draw causes the cell voltage to sag under load before the indicator circuit sees a true low-battery condition. The result is weak suction while the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause. If suction stays weak with a clean filter and a charged cell, the cell's internal resistance has risen and the pack needs replacement.
Motor cuts out mid-use then restarts after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or pressed hard against upholstery — current draw spikes past the protection circuit's threshold. The BMS shuts the output to protect the cell, then resets once current drops. Clear the blockage and check the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cutout happens on a clean machine with an aged original pack, the cell's capacity has dropped enough that even normal draw hits the trip threshold — that is when a replacement cell fixes it.
