- FC7 platform fit: The FC7 runs a 25.2V cell stack to power both the suction motor and the water pump roller at the same time. That dual-load architecture draws more from the battery than a standard stick vac, so the BMS needs to handle combined current spikes — this cell is matched to that voltage rail and connector pinout.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through full charge and discharge cycles on the FC7 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the charger, accepted a full charge without flag errors, and held voltage under the combined motor and pump load without tripping an overcurrent cutoff.
- FC7 dock charging habit: Do not leave the FC7 seated on its charging dock between every use. The FC7 dock does not stop pushing trickle current when the cell is full. Charge to full, then remove the machine from the dock — this alone slows capacity fade considerably.
Suction dropping on the FC7 before the battery indicator reaches low
The FC7 runs two loads — suction motor and roller pump — off the same cell. When the filter is partially blocked, the suction motor draws more current than rated to compensate. That elevated draw pulls the cell voltage down faster than the indicator expects, so suction feels weak while the battery gauge still shows mid-charge. The fix is to check and rinse the filter before assuming the battery is the problem. A clean filter restores normal draw and the indicator will track accurately again.
FC7 motor cuts out briefly then recovers mid-clean
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dying battery. When the roller or suction path is restricted — hair wrap on the brush roller is the most common cause — current spikes sharply and the BMS shuts the output to protect the cell. It resets within a few seconds, which is why the machine comes back on by itself. Clear the restriction, then check that the battery rests above 22V on a multimeter before continuing — a cell already weakened by capacity fade will trip the BMS sooner and more frequently.
