Why the FG155 motor slows or stalls mid-chop
Thick mixtures — dense vegetables, hard cheese, stiff dough — pull significantly more current from the pack than light chopping does. A Ni-MH cell under that elevated load sees a voltage sag that can drop below the motor's minimum operating threshold. On an aged or partially degraded pack, this sag hits earlier and harder, causing the motor to slow noticeably or cut out mid-cycle. A fresh pack with full internal resistance figures sustains the voltage rail long enough to complete the cut.
FG155 shows no charge indicator after kitchen use
If the appliance is used near steam or rinsed close to the charging port, moisture can bridge the charging contacts and trigger the BMS protection circuit. The charger then sees a fault condition and refuses to initiate a charge cycle — the indicator stays off entirely. Remove the unit from the charger, dry the contacts thoroughly with a dry cloth, and leave for 10–15 minutes before reconnecting. If charging resumes, the pack voltage should read at or above 3.6V within the first few minutes of charge.
