Kress Mission Series — 20V Li-ion Replacement Battery (59003453)
This 20V 2500mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack on Kress Mission cordless lawn mowers, including the Mission KR100 Nano, Mission KR101E Nano, and Mission Nano 600 KR101E. It matches the OEM voltage rail and connector used across the Mission platform. Capacity is 2500mAh (50Wh) — same as the factory spec.
- Mission platform fit: These models share a common 20V battery interface, BMS handshake protocol, and connector housing. A single battery spec covers the full Mission range because Kress standardised the 20V cell configuration across this lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles and simulated blade-motor inrush loads. The BMS held cutoff thresholds consistent with the OEM pack and did not trip under normal starting current.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before the first mow of spring, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a pack that hasn't warmed to room temperature.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load
The Mission mower's blade motor draws a short burst of high current every time it bites into dense or wet grass. If that inrush current spike exceeds the BMS protection threshold, the pack disconnects to protect the cells. This shows up as the mower cutting out suddenly mid-row, then restarting after a few seconds once the BMS resets. Keeping blade speed consistent and avoiding very heavy passes reduces the peak draw and prevents nuisance trips.

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. A pack left in a garage from autumn to spring can drop below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V per cell. When that happens, the charger sees an out-of-range voltage and throws a fault instead of starting a charge cycle. Place the pack in a warm room for an hour, then retry the charger; if the cells haven't dropped too far, the charger will re-accept the pack and begin a recovery charge.
