KURIO 7S / C1300 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL458097)
This is a 3.7V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery for the KURIO 7S and C1300 kids' tablets. It replaces part number PL458097 when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge. Dimensions are 99.15 × 79.55 × 4.20 mm — measure your existing cell before ordering to confirm fitment.
- 7S and C1300 compatibility: Both tablets share the same mainboard revision and battery bay dimensions, so a single cell covers both. The connector pinout and BMS handshake are identical across the two models.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a KURIO mainboard. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes, and the charge IC reached full termination voltage cleanly.
- Fuel gauge reset after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff once, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear straight after a swap.

This is a fuel gauge calibration problem, not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC was trained on the old cell's discharge curve. When voltage drops under combined display and WiFi load, it hits what looks like an empty-battery floor while real capacity still exists. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff, then a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the IC remaps its low-voltage threshold to the new cell and the phantom shutdowns stop.

The percentage is calculated by a fuel gauge IC on the board, not the battery itself. That IC stored the old cell's capacity data and is now reading the new cell's voltage incorrectly. A single full discharge-to-shutoff followed by a full charge to 100% forces the IC to relearn the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise and track normally.
