Landxcape CR208E / LX835 Series — 20V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LA0007)
This is a 20V 2500mAh (50Wh) lithium-ion battery for Landxcape cordless lawn mowers. It fits the CR208E, R800 Smart, LX835, and LX992, along with three additional models in the same platform. It replaces OEM part numbers LA0007 and 50046811.
- CR208E and LX-series platform fit: These models share the same 20V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single pack covers the full platform — no adapter or firmware difference between models.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the LX835 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the charger, accepted charge without fault codes, and released current normally under blade motor load.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before the first cut of spring, bring the battery indoors overnight if the garage temperature is below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current on startup can trip the BMS on a cold pack before you even leave the driveway.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass and wet-grass blade load
The CR208E blade motor draws significantly more current through wet or dense grass than on a dry, short lawn. If that inrush exceeds the BMS overcurrent threshold, the pack shuts off as a protection response — not a fault in the battery itself. This typically happens mid-row and the mower won't restart immediately. Wait two minutes for the BMS to reset, then continue at a slower walking pace to reduce instantaneous load on the cells.
Charger shows fault light after mower sat in garage all winter
Li-ion cells that self-discharge over a long storage period can drop below the voltage threshold the charger uses to confirm a healthy pack — typically around 2.5V per cell. At that point the charger refuses to start a full charge cycle and shows a fault or red indicator instead. Connect the pack and leave it on the charger for 30 minutes without interrupting it — many chargers run a low-current recovery pulse first before switching to full charge. If the charger accepts the pack and the indicator shifts to charging, the cells have recovered above the acceptance voltage and the pack is usable.
