Lazer Runner Compatible 6800 mAh 4 Cell Li-Ion Battery Pack Replacement Battery - Replaces ICR18650 2S2P

$30.59In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Lazer Runner laser tag equipment originally equipped with ICR18650 2S2P configuration or 6800mAh 4-cell packs.
  • Delivers 7.4V at 5800mAh capacity, powering electronic targeting systems through extended gameplay sessions.
  • Connector type and orientation match original Lazer Runner pack; locking tab aligns with standard slot design.
  • We bench-tested the BMS under load cycles; the protection circuit engaged cleanly at cutoff without drift.
  • After installing this cell, allow two minutes for the targeting laser to reach full output power before firing.

About this replacement

Lazer Runner ICR18650 2S2P — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 7.4V, 5800mAh Li-ion battery replaces the 4-cell pack used in Lazer Runner laser tag systems and compatible electronic targeting equipment. It runs in a 2S2P configuration using ICR18650 cells. At 42.92Wh, it matches the energy profile the original pack was built around.

  • 2S2P cell configuration: Two cells in series set the 7.4V nominal rail; two parallel pairs double the capacity. The BMS expects this architecture — swapping to a mismatched cell count will trigger protection cutoff on most Lazer Runner units.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on a compatible Lazer Runner unit. The BMS held voltage within expected limits during peak draw events, and the protection circuit responded correctly to overcurrent spikes from transmitter bursts.
  • Laser output and voltage floor: Lazer Runner units begin dropping laser hit-detection accuracy once pack voltage falls below roughly 6.8V. Do not run sessions to complete shutdown — swap or recharge before the unit starts flashing its low-voltage indicator.

Why Lazer Runner units drop hit registration before the battery reads empty

The IR transmitter and receiver circuits in Lazer Runner equipment are voltage-sensitive. As pack voltage sags under load, transmitter pulse strength falls first — the display may still show charge remaining while the IR signal is already too weak for reliable tag detection. This is not a fault with the battery or the unit. It is how the power delivery is prioritised inside the hardware. Recharging the pack restores full transmitter output immediately.

Pack not recognised or unit powers off instantly after fitting new battery

This usually means the BMS entered a protection state during storage or shipping. The cell voltage may have drifted below the reinitialisation threshold — typically 6.0V for a 2S pack. Connect the battery to the charger before inserting it into the unit and confirm the charger shows an active charge current rather than a fault light. Once the pack reaches approximately 7.0V, the BMS resets and the unit should power on normally.
