- 062632, 062654, 062664 platform: These three fittings share the same internal battery bay, connector orientation, and charge controller circuit. All three run the same float charge voltage, so one cell type covers the whole range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a simulated mains-failure activation on the 062632 fitting. The BMS accepted the load without tripping, and the charge controller moved to float mode cleanly after the test cycle completed.

Charge indicator staying red after new battery installation
A freshly installed Ni-MH cell from storage sits at a lower resting voltage than the fitting's float acceptance window expects. The charge controller reads this as an out-of-range cell and holds the fault or charging indicator red rather than transitioning to green. This is not a wiring fault or a defective cell. Leave the fitting on mains power for a full 24-hour charge cycle — once the cell voltage climbs into the acceptance band, the controller will switch to float and the indicator will clear.
Emergency light dims partway through a duration test
If the luminaire dims noticeably within the first few minutes of a test activation, the cell has not yet reached its rated capacity — this is common on the first discharge after installation. Ni-MH cells need one full charge-discharge cycle to condition the cell chemistry and deliver rated capacity. Recharge fully on mains, then run the test button again for the complete rated duration. If dimming persists after a second full cycle, check terminal voltage under load — it should hold above 2.0V throughout the test.
