Lenovo 3000 G410 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAHL00L6S)
This 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Lenovo 3000 G410, G400 14001, G400 2048, and related G400 models. It fits the same connector and BMS handshake as the factory cell. Install it when the original no longer holds adequate charge or fails to power the laptop at all.
- G400 and G410 platform fit: These models share a common 10.8V three-cell rail, the same physical connector, and an identical BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell covers the full range without voltage or pinout conflicts.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, full discharge to hibernate cutoff, and a second full charge cycle. The BMS reported correct voltage at each stage and did not trigger any protection cutoffs under normal load.
- Post-install discharge cycle on the G410: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on these Lenovo models.
BIOS reporting poor battery health after swapping the G410 cell
The Lenovo G410 BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and carries that forward after a swap. The new cell has a fresh EEPROM, but the BIOS hasn't yet run a learn cycle against it — so it flags the pack as degraded even though the cell is new. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the BIOS to rewrite its health baseline against the new cell. After that cycle, the health warning clears and the reported capacity aligns with the 4400mAh rating.
G410 shutting down abruptly at 20–30% shown on the gauge
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a gauge bug. When the CPU and display pull full load simultaneously, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track — the pack hits the BMS cutoff threshold while the OS still shows charge remaining. It is most common when the learn cycle has never been run and the gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run the full discharge-to-hibernate cycle described above so the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual voltage curve. After two to three calibration cycles, the shutdown point and the displayed percentage will converge.
