About this replacement
Lenovo IdeaPad B6000 / Yoga Tablet 8 — 3.75V Li-ion Replacement Battery (L13D2E31)
This is a 3.75V, 5800mAh (21.75Wh) Li-ion battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad B6000 and Yoga Tablet 8. It fits the original L13D2E31 slot and restores the tablet to full battery-powered operation. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to power the device on.
- IdeaPad B6000 and Yoga Tablet 8 fit: Both tablets share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — the L13D2E31 part number covers both. No adapter or modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a B6000 unit. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge termination triggered at the expected cutoff voltage, and the tablet recognised the battery without errors.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage display that often appears after a swap.
Yoga Tablet 8 shutting down at 15–25% remaining
The Yoga Tablet 8 drives the display backlight, WiFi radio, and CPU from the same voltage rail simultaneously. Under that combined load, voltage can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge reads zero. The device shuts down not because the cell is empty, but because voltage dropped too fast for the fuel gauge to track accurately. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% recalibrates the fuel gauge IC and eliminates most of these early shutoffs.
Fast charging not available after battery replacement
The Yoga Tablet 8 uses a proprietary charge negotiation handshake between the charge IC and the battery BMS. On a freshly installed cell, the charge IC may default to standard 5V input until one complete charge cycle has been accepted. If fast charge is unavailable after the swap, charge the tablet fully from flat using the original Lenovo charger. After that first full cycle, the charge IC renegotiates the higher input voltage and fast charge becomes available again.
