Why this battery

  • Fits Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10 models 59-439199 and 59-407061, replacing OEM part numbers L13M3Z61, L13S3Z61, and L13L3Z61.
  • 11.1V, 2200mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 24.42Wh — matches original capacity for full runtime across convertible and tablet modes.
  • Connector plugs straight into the Flex 10 battery slot with no adapter needed; locking tab seats flush against the chassis frame.
  • We bench-tested this pack on the Flex 10 platform — BMS handshake completed on first insertion, fuel gauge IC calibrated across three full cycles without voltage cliff.
  • After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

About this replacement

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (L13M3Z61)

This is an 11.1V, 2200mAh (24.42Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10 convertible notebook. It fits models 59-439199 and 59-407061 and replaces OEM part numbers L13M3Z61, L13S3Z61, and L13L3Z61. The physical dimensions are 200.50 x 31.10 x 17.50mm — verify clearance before fitting if your unit has any aftermarket chassis work.

  • Flex 10 platform fit: The IdeaPad Flex 10 uses a shared battery connector and BMS handshake across its sub-variant SKUs. All three OEM part numbers pull from the same voltage rail and cell configuration, so one cell swap covers the full 59-series range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on the Flex 10 platform and confirmed the BMS completed charge handshake without fault codes. The protection circuit held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold under a CPU and display load cycle.
  • Post-install calibration on the Flex 10: After fitting, run one full discharge down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The Flex 10 BIOS runs a battery learn cycle against cell data — skipping this step leaves an inaccurate health warning in Lenovo Vantage and an uncalibrated fuel gauge for the first several sessions.

Lenovo Vantage showing poor battery health immediately after swap

The Flex 10 BIOS reads EEPROM data written by the original factory cell. When a replacement cell goes in, that stored data no longer matches the new cell's characteristics, so the system flags poor health before any real degradation exists. This is a calibration state, not a fault with the new battery. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate then a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — the BIOS learn cycle rewrites the health reference against the new cell and the warning clears.

Flex 10 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

The fuel gauge IC estimates remaining capacity using historical cell data from the old battery. After a swap, those reference points are wrong, so the displayed percentage no longer maps accurately to the actual cell voltage. Under full CPU and display load, the cell hits its voltage cliff before the gauge reaches zero — triggering an abrupt shutdown. Two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles recalibrate the fuel gauge against the new cell. After calibration, the system should not cut off until the cell drops to approximately 10.0V under load.
