The 15ACH6 draws hard on the battery when the Ryzen CPU and display both run at full load. The EC reads a false state-of-charge, triggers a low-voltage cutoff while the gauge still shows charge remaining, and the laptop shuts down without warning. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge to force the fuel gauge IC to re-baseline against the new cell's actual voltage curve.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement
This happens because the embedded controller reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell's reported capacity — the mismatch flags a degraded-battery warning before a single charge cycle completes. It is not a fault with the replacement cell. Navigate to Lenovo Vantage or the BIOS battery settings and initiate a battery gauge reset or learn cycle.
