This is a 15V, 3900mAh (58.5Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Lenovo Savers 14 and Rescuer series laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers L14S4PB0, 5B10H54717, L14M4PB0, and their variants. The battery restores unplugged operation on affected Lenovo notebooks where the original cell has degraded or failed.
- Savers 14 and Rescuer compatibility: These models share the same 15V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The Rescuer 14 and 15-ISK i7 variants draw higher sustained loads during gaming workloads, so the BMS on this cell is rated to handle the current spikes without tripping prematurely.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on a Lenovo Rescuer unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, charge current tapered normally at top-of-charge, and the protection circuit responded correctly to over-discharge cutoff.
- Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff on battery power, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on Lenovo systems.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
Lenovo firmware reads health data from the battery's EEPROM and compares it against the old cell's charge history. A brand-new cell has no accumulated cycle data, so the BIOS interprets the mismatch as degradation. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate then a complete uninterrupted charge allows the BIOS to complete its learn cycle and rewrite the health register. After two to three cycles, the system should report health correctly.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The displayed percentage is based on the old cell's data, so the reported figure is wrong — the cell hits its low-voltage cutoff while the screen still shows 20–30% remaining. It is not a faulty battery. Run two full discharge cycles to hibernate cutoff followed by full uninterrupted charges. After calibration, the gauge will track the new cell's curve accurately and the premature shutdown will stop.
