The TB-X606F pulls simultaneous load from the display backlight, WiFi radio, and processor when streaming or browsing. Under that combined draw, cell voltage drops faster than it does under a light load. The fuel gauge IC, still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, misreads the voltage cliff and signals the OS to shut down — even though the cell still holds charge. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% recalibrates the gauge against the new cell's actual curve and eliminates the early cutoff.
Fast charging not available on the Tab M10 Plus after a battery swap
The Tab M10 Plus uses USB-PD negotiation to enable fast charging, and the charge IC on the board runs through one accepted charge cycle before it unlocks higher current delivery to an unfamiliar cell. Immediately after a swap, the controller defaults to standard 5V charging as a precaution. Plug in using the original charger and cable, let the tablet complete one full charge to 100% without interruption, and USB-PD fast charging becomes available on subsequent cycles.
