Lenovo XiaoXin V4000 / Z51 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (L14S4A01)
This is a 14.4V, 2200mAh (31.68Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Lenovo XiaoXin V4000, Y50C, Z51, and Z51-70 notebooks. It slots into the same bay as the original L14S4A01 cell and connects via the same BMS-managed connector. Install it when the original unit no longer holds charge or the system reports critical battery failure.

Why the Z51 shuts down at 20–30% shown after a battery swap
The Z51 and XiaoXin V4000 use a fuel gauge IC that retains capacity data calibrated to the old cell. When a new cell is installed, the IC's stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. Under full CPU and display load, voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts, and the system hits the low-voltage hardware cutoff before the reported percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to recalibrate against the new cell.
BIOS reporting battery health as "poor" or "replace" immediately after install
Lenovo's BIOS reads battery health from EEPROM data carried over from the previous cell's wear history — not from live readings off the new cell. The "poor" flag is stale data, not a fault with the replacement. Run Lenovo Vantage or the built-in battery diagnostic, then complete one full learn cycle: discharge to hibernate, charge uninterrupted to 100%. After the learn cycle completes, the BIOS re-reads actual cell data and the health status updates to normal.
