Levana Palm / Jena — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (JH103450)
This 3.7V 1600mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces part number JH103450 in the Levana Palm and Jena baby monitor parent units. It powers the handheld receiver that displays the live camera feed and handles audio. Swap it in when the original no longer holds enough charge to get through a monitoring session.
- Palm and Jena parent unit fit: Both models use the same handheld receiver chassis with the same battery bay dimensions, connector orientation, and 3.7V supply rail. One part number covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the parent unit's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge correctly, hit full termination voltage without fault, and held resting voltage within spec after a 24-hour stand.
- Wireless re-pair after swap: When the parent unit loses power completely — as it does during a battery swap — it drops the wireless link to the camera. After fitting this battery and powering on, run the pairing sequence from the setup menu before expecting a live feed.
Why the Palm parent unit won't connect to the camera after a battery swap
The Palm stores its camera pairing data in volatile memory that clears the moment power drops to zero — which happens every time the battery is removed. It's not a fault with the new battery. The unit simply needs to re-establish the 2.4GHz link with the camera. Hold both units within one metre of each other and use the Channel or Pair button on the camera base to push a new pairing handshake to the parent unit. Once the signal icon appears steady on the parent unit screen, the link is restored.
Night vision cuts out on the camera feed after fitting a new battery
The IR LEDs in the camera unit draw from the camera's own supply — but the parent unit's display backlight and radio receiver draw hard from this battery. If you power on immediately after fitting the battery before it has taken any charge, the parent unit display can dim or glitch under load, which shows up as a corrupted or dark night-vision feed. Charge the parent unit to at least 3.9V before first use after a swap. The night-vision feed stabilises once the battery is off the low-voltage floor.
