The flat pouch cell matches the original footprint at 260.00 x 97.60 x 5.70mm.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The LG Gram BIOS stores battery health data in EEPROM tied to the original cell's charge history. When you swap the cell, that stored data doesn't reset automatically — the BIOS reads the old profile and flags the new cell as degraded. This is firmware behaviour, not a fault with the replacement. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the BIOS learn cycle will rewrite the EEPROM data against the new cell's actual capacity.
Laptop shuts down with 20–30% charge still showing on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't calibrated against the new cell's voltage curve. The IC is still reading the old cell's discharge profile, so it misjudges where the voltage cliff sits — the battery hits minimum cell voltage under CPU and display load before the gauge reaches zero. It is not a defective cell. Run two to three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles, charging fully between each, and the fuel gauge IC will recalibrate. After calibration, confirm the cell rests at approximately 8.7V fully charged.
