LG F7200 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SBPL0077601)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the LG F7200 flip phone. It replaces the original SBPL0077601 when the existing cell has degraded, lost capacity, or will no longer hold a charge. Swap it in and the phone powers on using the same voltage rail and connector as the factory battery.
- F7200 fitment: The F7200 uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with the SBPL0077601 footprint. The connector pinout and physical dimensions match the original, so no adapter or modification is needed during installation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on compatible hardware. The BMS engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff and the charge IC accepted the full 1000mAh without tripping protection.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC accurate data points for the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting percentage to the screen.
Why the F7200 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The F7200 tracks charge state through a fuel gauge IC that builds its model from the previous cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The IC reads voltage against an outdated model and reports incorrect percentages — sometimes showing full when the cell is at 60%, or dropping suddenly from 40% to zero. One complete discharge-charge cycle overwrites the old curve with data from the new cell and corrects the display.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated and the cell hits a voltage cliff under load — the screen backlight or RF transmit pulse draws enough current to pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the displayed percentage looks safe. The phone cuts out to protect the cell, not because capacity is low. Run the full discharge-charge calibration cycle first. If the shutdowns continue after two full cycles, check that resting cell voltage reads above 3.6V on a multimeter before fitting.
