This is a 3.8V, 8000mAh (30.4Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the LG G Pad 10.1" tablet, covering the V700 and VK700 variants. OEM part numbers BL-T13 and EAC62418201 confirm the fit. It replaces a failed or degraded original cell in the tablet's internal battery bay.
- V700 and VK700 platform fit: Both models share the same chassis dimension, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The flat Li-Polymer cell at 205.10 × 111.12 × 3.68mm matches the original cavity exactly, and the BMS accepts the same charge termination voltage as the factory unit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a V700 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted full charge termination at 4.35V with no fault flags, thermal events, or charge interruption through the full charge cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference range against the new cell and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear after a swap.
Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery swap
The fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the old, degraded cell and its voltage curve no longer maps accurately to the new one. Under combined display and WiFi load, the tablet's reported percentage can lag the actual cell voltage by a meaningful margin. When the cell voltage drops below the hardware cutoff threshold, the tablet shuts off even though the displayed percentage still shows charge remaining. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the calibration — after that cycle, percentage reporting should track accurately at 3.5V or above.
Fast charging unavailable on the G Pad 10.1" after fitting a new cell
The charge controller on the V700 negotiates the charge rate partly based on data from the previous charge session stored in the fuel gauge. A brand-new cell with no charge history can cause the controller to default to standard charge rates as a precaution. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Complete one full charge cycle using the original LG charger — the controller then re-establishes the correct charge profile and the faster charge rate becomes available from the next session.
