This is a 3.85V, 2200mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the LG K10 2017 smartphone. It fits the M250N, K121K, and X400 variants alongside the standard K10 2017 chassis. OEM part number is BL-46G1F.
- K10 2017 variant compatibility: The M250N, K121K, and X400 all share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout as the K10 2017. The BMS handshake uses the same communication line, so one cell covers the full variant range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a K10 2017 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold during deep discharge testing.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue. Under peak modem or display load, the cell voltage drops sharply below what the fuel gauge IC predicted. The phone interprets this as a critical low-voltage event and shuts down, even though the reported percentage looked safe. The fix is a full recalibration cycle — drain the phone to zero, let it power off naturally, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one clean cycle, the coulomb counter maps the new cell's real discharge curve and the shutdowns stop.
Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells lose charge in storage. If this cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage and will refuse a normal charge cycle. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which a standard charge cycle restores normal operation. If the phone still will not respond after 30 minutes on charge, check the cable and adapter are delivering at least 5V.
