LG K10 / K420N Series — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-45A1H)
This is a 3.8V, 2300mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the OEM battery in the LG K10, K420N, K10 4G LTE, K410, and over 20 additional variants. It carries OEM part number BL-45A1H (also listed as EAC63158301). If your K10 dies fast, shuts off unexpectedly, or won't hold a charge, this cell swaps in directly.
- K10 series compatibility: The K420N, K410, and K10 4G LTE all share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on K10 hardware. The BMS accepted charge from both USB and the stock charger without triggering protection cutoff, and voltage held stable under combined screen and modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the K10's fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's actual discharge curve before any high-current charging session begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the LG K10 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes sharply. A new cell that hasn't been calibrated yet may sag below the BMS cutoff threshold under that load — even though the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. The fuel gauge IC is still running the old cell's discharge curve. One full discharge cycle from 100% down to auto-off, followed by a full charge, resets the curve and eliminates most cliff shutdowns.
Phone warm near the battery during the first charge after replacement
A freshly installed cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. During the first charge, the charge IC pushes current into that higher-impedance cell, and some energy converts to heat rather than stored charge. This is normal for the first one or two cycles and settles as impedance drops. If the phone stays warm beyond the second full charge, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partially connected cell increases contact resistance and generates more heat. Target a warm-but-not-hot feel; if it's too hot to hold near the battery, reseat the connector at 3.8V.
