It fits into the original cell bay without modification. Dimensions are 90.45 × 90.71 × 3.51 mm — check these against your existing cell before ordering.
- V400 and V410 compatibility: Both variants run the same 3.8V power rail and use an identical connector and BMS handshake, so one cell covers both board revisions. The BL-T12 part number applies to the full production run of the LG Pad 7.0 lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a V400 board. The BMS accepted the charge profile on the first cycle, current draw stayed within spec at full-display brightness, and no protection trips occurred during a full discharge pass.
- Fuel gauge reset after installation: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC a reference point against the new cell and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a swap.
LG Pad 7.0 shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve. The new cell has a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity slope, so the system hits its low-voltage cutoff threshold earlier than the percentage display suggests. Under combined display and WiFi load, the voltage sag is enough to trigger an emergency shutdown. One full discharge-to-cutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% realigns the fuel gauge and eliminates the premature shutdown.
Fast charging not available after fitting a new BL-T12
The LG Pad 7.0's charge IC uses a handshake with the battery's BMS before enabling higher charge rates. On a fresh cell, this negotiation sometimes fails on the first cycle because the BMS has not yet established a charge history. Connect the tablet to the original LG charger and allow one complete charge from under 10% to 100% without interrupting it. After that cycle completes, fast charging typically becomes available and stays available on subsequent cycles.
