Why the G930 cuts out mid-session on a new battery
The G930 draws simultaneously from the audio amplifier and the 2.4GHz radio, and that combined load spikes sharply during loud audio passages or range-edge reconnects. A new cell that has not completed its first full charge cycle has not yet reached stable internal resistance, so voltage can sag briefly under peak draw. The BMS interprets that sag as an undervoltage event and shuts the cell down to protect it. A complete first-cycle charge through the base station resolves this in most cases.
Base station shows full charge but headset dies after short use
This happens when the replacement cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — and the base station's charge controller reads that as "nearly full" before the new cell has been properly logged. The headset then deploys that thin charge reserve rapidly under combined radio and audio load. Seat the headset in the base, let it run through a full uninterrupted charge cycle to 4.2V, then drain it through normal use before recharging. The talk-time estimate stabilises after three to five cycles.
